At work on time — a good assignment stands or falls on it. FlexHero offers two options: a shared lease car or an allowance for your own transport. Which one fits depends on your living situation, the work and the distance.
Shared lease car — for specialists with varying assignments.
For service engineers and mechatronics engineers who need to travel to different client sites, we arrange a lease car with a fuel card. Fuel and maintenance entirely at our expense. You pay no benefit-in-kind tax on private kilometres — we compensate for that in the transport arrangement.
Own transport — allowance per kilometre.
Do you have your own car and live more than 10 km from work? Then you receive €65 per kilometre travel allowance (tax-exempt by law), paid weekly via your payslip. For distances under 10 km we don't reimburse — that distance counts as 'normal commuting'.

Can I park my car at the housing?
Yes, almost all SNF locations have free parking spaces. Ask about the specific location at intake.
Do I get travel expenses for the journey from my home country?
We fully arrange the first journey (home → the Netherlands): flight or coach, plus airport pick-up. No cost to you. Visits home in between are up to you to arrange.
What is the maximum commuting distance?
We aim for a maximum of 45 minutes one way. If it's more than an hour, your housing is moved or we look for another assignment closer to home.
Do I get a tax-free travel allowance?
Up to €65/km is tax-free (exemption). Anything reimbursed above that counts as wages and is taxed.
