Arriving at work on time — that’s what makes or breaks a good performance. FlexHero offers two options: a shared lease car or a travel allowance for your own transport. Which one suits you best depends on your living situation, your job and the distance.
Shared lease car — for specialists with varying assignments.
For fitters and mechatronics technicians who need to visit different client sites, we arrange a lease car with a fuel card. We cover all refuelling and maintenance costs. You pay no benefit-in-kind tax for private mileage — we offset this against your transport costs.
Own transport — mileage allowance.
Do you have your own car and live more than 10 km from work? Then you’ll receive €0.23 per kilometre in travel allowance (tax-exempt), paid weekly on your payslip. We do not reimburse distances under 10 km — that distance is considered ‘normal commuting’.

Can I park my car at the housing?
Yes, almost all SNF locations have free parking spaces. Ask about the specific location during your intake.
Will I receive travel allowance for the journey from my home country?
We arrange the first journey (home → the Netherlands) in full: flight or coach, pick-up service from the airport. No costs to you. For home visits in between: you arrange that yourself.
What is the maximum commute distance?
We aim for a maximum of 45 minutes one way. If it takes more than an hour, housing will be relocated or we will look for another assignment closer to home.
Will I receive a tax-free travel allowance?
Up to €0.23/km is tax-free (exemption). Any amount above that is considered part of your salary and is subject to tax.
