About the position.
As a formwork carpenter, you build formwork for concrete structures such as floors, columns, walls and foundations. You work on construction sites in the region and follow the construction schedule closely. Physical fitness and technical insight into concrete structures go without saying.
What will you be doing?
- Building, placing and dismantling timber and system formwork
- Reading structural drawings and setting out dimensions on site
- Working with formwork systems from suppliers such as PERI, Doka or Harsco
- Fitting spacers, anchors and tie rods for wall and floor formwork
- Working with steel fixers and crane operators during pours
- Checking the formwork for flatness, plumb and tightness before pouring
What we ask of you.
- MBO level 2 or 3 in Carpentry or Formwork Carpentry, or proven experience in this field
- Experience with system formwork is a strong advantage
- VCA certificate
- Driving licence (category B)
- Physically in good shape and comfortable working at height and in excavations
