About the position.
As a concrete worker, you work on construction sites on the formwork, pouring and curing of concrete structures. You work physically and as part of a team on foundations, floor slabs, columns and walls. The pace is high and craftsmanship determines the quality of the end result.
What will you be doing?
- Placing and propping formwork elements for walls, columns and floors
- Placing and compacting concrete with a poker vibrator and pour pipe
- Levelling and curing concrete surfaces after pouring
- Stripping and cleaning formwork systems after striking
- Working with steel fixers and the site manager on the pour schedule
- Checking dimensions and formwork tightness before pouring
What we ask of you.
- MBO level 2 Concrete Worker or Civil Construction, or at least 2 years' work experience on site
- Experience with system formwork (e.g. Doka, Peri or MEVA) is an advantage
- VCA Basis certificate (or willingness to obtain it)
- Physically fit and willing to work shifts or early morning hours for large pours
