About the position.
As a shipping operative, you are the point of contact for incoming and outgoing shipments at the dispatch dock. You check deliveries, organise outgoing transport and make sure all related documentation is correct. Liaising between drivers, the warehouse and administration is part of your daily routine.
What will you be doing?
- Receiving and checking incoming shipments for quantity, condition and consignment note
- Booking in incoming goods in the ERP or WMS
- Preparing and checking outgoing shipments, including packing lists and shipping documents
- Receiving and instructing drivers at the loading dock
- Preparing CMR consignment notes, packing lists and, where applicable, customs documents
- Monitoring shipping deadlines and communicating deviations to the planner
What we ask of you.
- MBO level 3 Logistics or Shipping, or 2+ years' work experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of shipping documentation (CMR, packing list, customs) and transport regulations
- A licence for a forklift or reach truck is an advantage
- Strong communicator and able to work under time pressure
- Good command of Dutch; English is an advantage
