About the position.

As a groundworker, you lay the foundation for every construction project. From excavating building pits to digging trenches for pipes and cables: you make sure the ground is ready for what will be built on top of it. You work outdoors, with machines and by hand, on a wide range of projects in the Eindhoven region.

What will you be doing?

• Carrying out earthworks by hand and with machinery (digging, excavating, backfilling and compacting)
• Setting out and digging trenches for sewers, cables and pipes to the correct depth and width
• Processing and removing excavated soil in line with environmental and project requirements
• Supporting the crane operator with lifting, placing and arranging materials
• Laying rubble beds, sand beds or aggregate as a foundation under paving or pipes
• Maintaining order and safety on site and reporting deviations

What we ask of you.

• At least 1 year's work experience in civil engineering or infrastructure construction
• VCA Basis (required); driving licence (category B)
• Physically resilient and weatherproof for outdoor work in all conditions
• Knowledge of working safely around cables and pipes (CROW 500 or willingness to train)
• Able to work independently and show initiative in solving day-to-day problems
