About the position.
As a forklift driver, you move and stack goods in a production or distribution warehouse efficiently and safely. You work with counterbalance forklifts (electric or LPG) and are responsible for a tidy workplace and the correct use of your equipment. Safety is your top priority.
What will you be doing?
- Moving pallets and goods with a counterbalance forklift
- Loading and unloading lorries in cooperation with drivers
- Storing goods in the correct warehouse locations according to instructions
- Carrying out daily visual safety checks on the vehicle
- Supporting warehouse operatives with order picking and internal transport
- Recording irregularities or damage to goods or the floor
What we ask of you.
- Valid VCA/forklift certificate (counterbalance forklift, class 1 or 5)
- At least 2 years' experience driving forklifts in a production or distribution warehouse
- Willingness to work a two-shift system or early/late shifts
- Safety- and quality-conscious with attention to machine safety
- Driving licence (category B) is desirable
