Refrigeration Mechanic

About the position.

As a refrigeration mechanic, you install and maintain refrigeration systems for industry, retail and commercial buildings. You work with refrigerants, electrical control cabinets and control equipment. Precision and certification are prerequisites in this trade.

What will you be doing?

• Assembling refrigeration circuits and making them leak-tight, including pipework and flanges
• Charging installations with F-gases in line with statutory procedures
• Commissioning and setting the parameters of refrigeration controllers
• Diagnosing faults using pressure-temperature charts and electronic diagnostics
• Carrying out periodic maintenance and leak checks in line with the F-gas Regulation
• Recording refrigerant charges and materials used in the logbook system

What we ask of you.

• MBO level 3 or 4 in Refrigeration Engineering or Climate Control Installations
• Valid F-gas certificate category I (mandatory)
• At least 2 years' practical experience in refrigeration engineering
• Knowledge of refrigeration controllers (Danfoss, Dixell or similar) is an advantage
• Driving licence (category B) and flexible availability for on-call breakdown duty
