About the position.

As a Service Technician in Refrigeration Technology at CSB Installatietechniek, you are responsible for maintaining and servicing HVAC and cooling systems in commercial buildings such as offices, schools, and healthcare facilities. You work independently, travel to clients in your own fully equipped service van, and act as the face of the company on-site. Your role is focused on ensuring reliable indoor climate systems through maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair, while delivering high-quality service to customers.

What will you be doing?

• Performing preventive maintenance and service on HVAC and cooling systems at commercial client sites. Diagnosing and resolving technical issues and system malfunctions. Working independently according to planning while visiting clients such as offices, schools, and healthcare facilities. Ensuring systems operate efficiently and reliably. Completing service reports and documenting work performed. Representing the company professionally as the main technical contact on-site.

What we ask of you.

• Experience in HVAC or refrigeration technology, including maintenance and servicing of cooling and climate systems. Ability to diagnose and resolve technical faults in air conditioning and building climate systems. Knowledge of refrigeration principles and HVAC installations is required. Ability to read technical drawings and system schematics. Experience with on-site service work and customer-facing technical roles. Basic reporting and administrative skills for service documentation. Understanding of safe working practices with mechanical and electrical systems.

Bonus — nice to have:

• Preferably a minimum 2+ years of experience as a service technician in HVAC, refrigeration, or building services engineering. Proven experience in maintenance, servicing, and fault finding on cooling and climate control systems in commercial or utilitarian environments. Experience working independently on-site with clients is essential. Familiarity with reading technical drawings and system schematics is required. A relevant technical education in refrigeration, HVAC, or electro/mechanical engineering is preferred. Experience in a customer-facing technical service role is a strong advantage.
