3D Metrology Technician

About the position.

As a 3D metrology technician, you’ll check that components meet the technical drawings and product specifications. You’ll program and operate 3D measuring machines, carry out measurements, and assess the results. You’ll record measurement data in reports and discuss any deviations with colleagues in quality and production. You’ll help maintain the quality of new and existing products and contribute to selecting suitable measurement methods. This is a two-shift role.

What will you be doing?

• Carrying out 3D measurements on a range of components using precision equipment.
• Developing and optimising measurement programmes for specific measurement assignments.
• Analysing and interpreting measurement results and drawing up detailed measurement reports.
• Checking and safeguarding the quality of the components produced.
• Working with the quality and production teams to improve processes.
• Maintaining and calibrating measuring equipment in line with the regulations.

What we ask of you.

• Familiarity with measuring equipment and software such as CMM.
• Good command of English, both spoken and written.
• A VCA certificate or willingness to obtain one.
• Driving licence (category B) for commuting.
