About the position.

As a CNC Turner, you are responsible for independently producing high-quality plastic parts on CNC lathes. You will work on precision products where quality, accuracy and craftsmanship are paramount. You are responsible for setting up, operating and monitoring the CNC lathes and ensuring that products are manufactured to technical specifications. You will also actively contribute ideas for improvements to the production process and have the opportunity to develop further towards programming and optimisation. Our client produces high-quality plastic products for, among others, the semiconductor, medical and analytical industries. The organisation works with modern techniques, short lines of communication and a strong focus on quality.

What will you be doing?

• Independently setting up and operating CNC lathes.
• Producing high-quality plastic parts according to technical drawings and specifications.
• Checking the dimensions, quality and finish of produced parts.
• Carrying out in-process quality checks.
• Selecting and checking tools and machining parameters.
• Adjusting and optimising CNC programs.
• Identifying and resolving deviations during the production process.
• Contributing ideas for improvements to working methods and production processes.

What we ask of you.

• Able to independently set up, operate and monitor CNC lathes.
• Technical insight into turning work and machining processes.
• Able to work from technical drawings and product documentation.
• Knowledge of tools, cutting data and machining parameters.
• Accurate and quality-focused way of working.
• Able to check products using various measuring instruments.
• Able to independently identify and resolve deviations.
• Basic knowledge of CNC programming or the ambition to develop this further.
• Able to understand existing CNC programs and adjust them where necessary.
• Able to work in a structured and independent manner.
• Taking responsibility for the quality of your own work.
• Proven experience as a CNC Turner in a professional machining environment.
• Experience in setting up and operating CNC lathes.
• Experience in producing precision plastic parts.
• Experience in reading and interpreting technical drawings.
• Experience in measuring and checking products to specification.
• Experience in adjusting and optimising CNC programs.
• Basic knowledge of CNC programming.
• Experience with the following systems is a strong advantage:

• Heidenhain control

• OneCNC
