About the position.
As a structural metalworker, you work on the construction and assembly of steel structures, frames and machine parts. You read technical drawings, cut material to size and make sure everything fits precisely before it reaches the welder or fitter. The work calls for precision and technical insight — no two days are the same.
What will you be doing?
- Reading and interpreting working drawings and parts lists
- Sawing, drilling, filing and grinding steel sections and plates to size
- Assembling and aligning structural parts for welding or fitting
- Checking dimensions and tolerances with measuring tools
- Adjusting and finishing parts after welding or machining
- Reporting deviations to the work planner or quality department
What we ask of you.
- MBO level 2 or 3 in Metalworking, Structural Metalwork or similar
- Proven experience in reading technical 2D drawings
- Proficient in using hand tools and grinders
- Accurate and dimensionally focused, with an eye for quality and safety
- Willing to work day shifts or shift work
