About the position.
As a welding robot operator, you set up automated welding systems and monitor the welding process. You load workpieces, check programs and step in when deviations occur so that quality is safeguarded. You understand the welding process behind the automation and can adjust program parameters.
What will you be doing?
- Setting up and starting welding robots (preferably KUKA, Fanuc or ABB)
- Loading and positioning workpieces in the robot cell
- Checking weld quality through visual inspection and measuring tools
- Adjusting welding parameters (voltage, wire feed speed, travel speed) when deviations occur
- Carrying out minor maintenance and changing welding torches and contact tips
- Recording production output and breakdowns in the production system
What we ask of you.
- MBO level 3 in Mechatronics, Industrial Automation or Welding, with additional robot experience
- Proven experience as a welding robot operator (at least 1 year)
- Basic knowledge of robot programming (teach-in or offline programming) is an advantage
- Knowledge of the MIG/MAG welding process and the interpretation of welding drawings
- Accurate, alert and able to diagnose problems independently
