MIG Welder

About the position.

As a MIG welder, you work on aluminium structures and parts where gas shielding and wire settings determine weld quality. You work in production-oriented environments where speed and consistency go hand in hand. Knowledge of aluminium alloys and their welding behaviour is essential.

What will you be doing?

• Welding aluminium joints using the MIG process (MIG/pulsed MIG)
• Setting up welding equipment for wire type, gas mixture and pulse parameters
• Reading working drawings and determining the right welding technique per joint type
• Preparing aluminium parts (cleaning, degreasing, aligning)
• Checking weld quality and identifying porosity or incomplete penetration
• Working with assemblers and finishers in the production process

What we ask of you.

• MBO level 2 or 3 in Welding or Metal Engineering
• Proven experience in MIG welding of aluminium
• Knowledge of aluminium alloys and their specific welding properties
• Accurate and production-oriented, able to monitor quality on batch orders
• An aluminium MIG welding qualification (EN ISO 9606-2) is an advantage
