About the position.
Orbital welding is an automated, precision welding technique widely used in the pharmaceutical, food and process industries. As an orbital welder, you operate and program the welding equipment, carry out quality checks and safeguard the hygienic or technical welding specifications that apply in these sectors.
What will you be doing?
- Setting up and programming orbital welding machines for stainless steel tube welding
- Producing tube welds in accordance with welding procedure specifications (WPS)
- Checking welding parameters and recording process data in the welding log
- Assessing weld quality visually and by endoscope or borescope inspection
- Maintaining and calibrating orbital welding machines and accessories
- Complying with hygienic production requirements (GMP, EHEDG or similar)
What we ask of you.
- Proven work experience with orbital welding (e.g. with equipment from Arc Machines, Polysoude or equivalent)
- Knowledge of WPS/PQR documentation and welding procedures in accordance with EN 13480 or similar
- Experience in the pharmaceutical, food or (petro)chemical industry is an advantage
- Valid TIG stainless steel welding qualification (EN ISO 9606-1) as a basis for orbital work
- Careful, documentation-minded and able to make quality judgements independently
