About the position.

As a pipe welder, you weld pipe joints in all positions, from horizontal to vertical and overhead, in materials such as structural steel, stainless steel or duplex. The work requires mastery of several welding techniques and a good understanding of welding procedures, pressure classifications and quality documentation. Deployment is mostly in industry, the energy sector or installation engineering.

What will you be doing?

• Welding pipe joints in all welding positions (PA to PH) using TIG and/or MMA
• Producing pipe welds in accordance with approved WPS procedures
• Reading isometric drawings and P&ID diagrams
• Carrying out joint preparation, including bevelling, cleaning and aligning
• Documenting welding parameters and traceability data per weld
• Assisting with NDT inspections (radiography, UT) and following up repair reports

What we ask of you.

• Valid pipe welder certificate in accordance with EN ISO 9606-1 in at least two welding positions
• At least 3 years of work experience as a pipe welder in industry or installation engineering
• Competent in TIG root welding and filling with MMA or TIG
• Able to read isometric and P&ID drawings
• VCA certificate (at least VOL-VCA) required
