About the position.
As a sheet metal worker, you shape, cut and process thin sheet material into structural components and products. You work accurately with press brakes, laser cutting machines and punches, and are responsible for the dimensional accuracy of every part that leaves the workshop. You regularly alternate between working with steel, aluminium and stainless steel.
What will you be doing?
- Cutting and punching sheet material to size according to drawings
- Bending and folding steel and aluminium on a CNC press brake
- Checking products for dimensional accuracy and squareness
- Welding sheet metal parts (MIG/MAG) in a combined role
- Deburring and finishing sharp edges and cut surfaces
- Independently setting up the press brake and guillotine shear for series production
What we ask of you.
- MBO level 2 or 3 in Sheet Metal Work, Structural Engineering or similar
- Practical experience with a CNC press brake (preferably Trumpf, Amada or Bystronic)
- Able to read flat pattern drawings and dimension sheets
- An eye for quality and the finish of end products
- Experience with stainless steel is an advantage
