About the position.

At Helveg Metaaltechniek you manufacture precision metal products such as laser-cut, punched, bent, and welded parts using advanced machinery like the TruMatic 6000. As a Press Brake Operator, you will help produce high-quality sheet metal components by bending parts according to technical drawings, contributing to smart and precise end products for various customers.

What will you be doing?

• Operate and set up the press brake (kantbank) machine
• Produce accurate bends in sheet metal
• Read and interpret technical drawings
• Select correct tools and setups for production
• Perform quality checks on finished products
• Maintain a clean and organized workplace
• Work independently and take responsibility for output
• Support colleagues in other departments when needed

What we ask of you.

• Ability to read technical drawings (or willingness to learn)
• Interest in machine operation and sheet metal processing
• Basic understanding of metalworking processes (preferred but not required)
• Willingness to learn machine programming and tool selection
• Attention to detail and quality control mindset
• Affinity with technical work and engineering

Bonus — nice to have:

• Experience in metalworking or machine operation is a plus
• Motivation and willingness to learn are essential
• Hands-on mentality with two right hands (practical skills mindset)
