About the position.
As a steel erector, you assemble large steel structures for industrial buildings, warehouses and infrastructure. You work at height and on location, connecting steel beams, columns and girders to form a complete roof or building structure. Working safely at height and working as part of a crew come naturally to you.
What will you be doing?
- Erecting and positioning steel structures (columns, beams, trusses)
- Fixing connections with bolts, nuts and welding
- Reading assembly and structural drawings on location
- Aligning and checking structural components with a spirit level and theodolite
- Working at height using a forklift, aerial work platform or scaffolding
- Complying with VCA safety protocols on the construction site
What we ask of you.
- MBO level 3 in Steel Construction, Structural Engineering or equivalent work experience
- At least 2 years' assembly experience in steel construction or industrial building
- VCA (Basic or VOL) certificate required
- Driving licence (category B); BE or C is an advantage for transporting equipment
- Certified for working at height (working at height/fall protection)
