About the position.
As QHSE Manager, you bear ultimate responsibility for policy and its implementation in the areas of quality, health, safety and environment. You lead a team, represent the company to external stakeholders and ensure that the management system remains up to date, effective and certified. You operate at the intersection of strategy and the shop floor and have a direct influence on the company culture.
What will you be doing?
- Developing and implementing QHSE policy in line with company strategy and legislation and regulations
- Managing QHSE coordinators, prevention officers or safety experts within the team
- Safeguarding certifications (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 or sector-specific) and guiding certification audits
- Reporting to the board on QHSE performance, incidents and improvement actions based on KPIs
- Initiating and monitoring continuous improvement projects (Lean, Six Sigma or similar) in collaboration with operational management
- Acting as the point of contact for customers, government authorities and insurers on QHSE matters
What we ask of you.
- HBO or university degree in Industrial Engineering and Management, HSE, Environmental Science or similar
- At least 5 years' proven experience in a QHSE role, including at least 2 years in a managerial position
- In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001; experience with integrated management systems
- Relevant additional certification such as Hogere Veiligheidskundige (HVK), NEBOSH or similar is an advantage
- Strong at persuading and driving change: you get people moving without hierarchical pressure
