About the position.

As a Toolmaker at VDL Gereedschapmakerij, you manufacture, maintain, and optimize precision tools and dies for industrial production. You work with CNC machines, interpret technical drawings, and ensure high quality and accuracy. Within the VDL Groep, you contribute to efficient and reliable production processes.

What will you be doing?

• The role involves assembling, maintaining, and repairing custom molds and tooling for automotive production. The candidate machines precision parts, tests tools in real production conditions, and works closely with engineers and production staff to turn designs into functional products.

What we ask of you.

• A Toolmaker at VDL Gereedschapmakerij needs strong CNC machining skills (milling, turning, grinding) and the ability to read technical drawings with GD&T. Experience with CAD/CAM, precision measurement tools, and knowledge of tooling and materials is essential, along with machine setup, troubleshooting, and quality control skills.

Bonus — nice to have:

• Candidates have a technical MBO level 4 background or equivalent experience. Both junior (eager to learn) and senior (immediately deployable) profiles are considered. Experience with technical problem-solving and reading 3D drawings is important, along with good Dutch and English language skills.
