BIM Engineer

About the position.

As a BIM Engineer, you work on the digital translation of architectural and building services designs into detailed 3D models. You are the connecting link between design, engineering and execution, and you make sure everyone on the project works from the same information. You detect clashes early so that problems on the building site are prevented.

What will you be doing?

• Creating and managing BIM models in Revit or Tekla Structures
• Carrying out clash detection and coordinating solutions with the disciplines involved
• Producing working drawings and as-built documentation from the model
• Monitoring the BIM execution plans (BEP) and information delivery specifications
• Liaising with structural engineers, installers and project management on model changes
• Exporting data for cost estimation, purchasing and planning

What we ask of you.

• HBO working and thinking level, preferably with a background in Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
• At least 2 years' demonstrable work experience with Revit and/or Tekla Structures
• Knowledge of IFC standards and working in a Common Data Environment (CDE)
• Skilled in clash detection using Navisworks or similar software
• Accurate, proactive and able to communicate technical findings clearly
