About the position.
As a work planner, you convert technical designs into workable work instructions and production packages. You liaise between engineers, purchasing and production and make sure the shop floor knows exactly what needs to be made, when and how. Preventing errors starts with you.
What will you be doing?
- Translating technical drawings and specifications into work instructions and process plans
- Calculating material requirements and drawing up bills of materials
- Liaising with purchasing on material deliveries and lead times
- Monitoring the progress of production orders and making adjustments when deviations occur
- Checking technical documentation for completeness and manufacturability
- Supporting the shop floor with technical questions during execution
What we ask of you.
- MBO 4 or HBO working and thinking level, in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or structural engineering
- At least 2 years' experience as a work planner or production planner in a technical environment
- Skilled in reading technical drawings (2D and preferably 3D)
- Familiarity with ERP systems and/or CAD environments
- Systematic approach and an eye for detail
