About the position.

As a cost expert, you have in-depth insight into the cost structure of technical projects, from material purchasing to execution risk. You advise internal stakeholders, review third-party quotations and build a reliable knowledge base for future estimates. Your judgement carries a lot of weight.

What will you be doing?

• Drawing up and reviewing detailed cost estimates for technical projects
• Analysing supplier quotations and contracts for completeness and market conformity
• Advising project management and the board on financial risks and opportunities
• Maintaining and validating a cost and price database per discipline or material category
• Overseeing post-calculations and incorporating lessons learned into the estimating methodology
• Supporting contract negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors

What we ask of you.

• HBO or WO working and thinking level, in industrial engineering and management, civil engineering or building services engineering
• At least 5 years' experience in a cost expert or senior estimator role
• Excellent knowledge of cost estimating and quotation methodologies
• Strong analytical skills and used to structuring large volumes of data
• Broad technical knowledge of multiple disciplines (civil, mechanical or building services)
