About the position.
As a CAD/CAM Programmer, you combine design knowledge with programming experience: you contribute to manufacturability analysis, create or edit 3D models and convert them directly into production-ready CNC programs. You are the link between engineering and production.
What will you be doing?
- Creating and modifying 3D models in CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA or similar)
- Programming milling and turning operations in an integrated CAM environment
- Assessing the manufacturability of parts in consultation with design engineers
- Defining machining sequences, clamping set-ups and tool lists
- Running NC simulations and fine-tuning programs after the first probing run on the machine
- Maintaining the program archive and documenting changes
What we ask of you.
- MBO 4 or HBO in mechanical engineering or mechatronics
- Experience with both CAD and CAM software in a production environment
- Technical insight into machining operations: turning, milling, drilling
- Ability to identify and resolve manufacturability issues independently
- Strong communication skills: you liaise daily with machinists, work planners and engineers
