About the position.

As a CNC miller, you machine prismatic workpieces on 3- or 5-axis machining centres and are responsible for set-up, tool selection and dimensional checks. You work on one-off parts and small batches in steel, aluminium and exotic alloys. Precision, technical insight and independence are the foundation of your work.

What will you be doing?

• Setting up and operating 3- or 5-axis CNC machining centres
• Clamping workpieces with clamps, fixtures and special workholding tools
• Creating and modifying NC programs on the machine or via a CAM system
• Checking operations with measuring tools and a 3D probe
• Selecting milling tools and recording cutting parameters
• Optimising lead times by improving clamping and programs

What we ask of you.

• MBO level 3 or 4 in Machining, CNC milling or mechanical engineering
• At least 2 years of independent experience on a CNC machining centre
• Knowledge of Heidenhain, Fanuc or Siemens controls
• Competent in interpreting ISO tolerances and GD&T on drawings
• Experience with CAM software (SolidCAM, Mastercam or equivalent) is a strong advantage
