About the position.

As a CAM Programmer, you convert technical drawings into efficient milling toolpaths and machining strategies. You work closely with design engineers and machinists to safeguard manufacturability and quality right from the programming phase. Every job calls for sharp thinking about tool selection, cutting parameters and clamping methods.

What will you be doing?

• Programming CNC operations in CAM software (Mastercam, Hypermill or similar)
• Translating 3D models and 2D drawings into optimised machining programs
• Selecting tools, cutting parameters and clamping equipment per material and operation
• Running simulations to prevent collisions and program errors before production starts
• Handing over programs to the machine operator and supervising the first batch run
• Feeding back improvement points to design or work planning

What we ask of you.

• MBO 4 or HBO working and thinking level in mechanical engineering or machining
• Proven experience with CAM software, preferably Mastercam or Hypermill
• Knowledge of milling techniques, cutting parameters and common engineering materials (steel, aluminium, stainless steel)
• Able to read and analyse technical 3D models independently
• Accurate and structured, with a practical attitude towards the shop floor
