Structural Fitter

About the position.

As a structural fitter, you assemble steel structures, frames and load-bearing structures on location or in the workshop. You work with heavy equipment and large components, where safety and precision go hand in hand. The structures you build form the backbone of machines, installations or buildings.

What will you be doing?

• Assembling and joining steel structures, sections and sheet steel components
• Making bolted connections with the correct preload forces and torques
• Levelling, aligning and fixing structural components according to drawings and tolerances
• Working with welders on tacking and welding structural components
• Operating lifting equipment and lifting aids when positioning heavy elements
• Checking dimensions and quality before handover

What we ask of you.

• MBO level 2 or 3 in Structural Metalwork, Metalworking or similar
• Experience in assembling steel structures or heavy mechanical systems
• VCA certificate (basic safety) required; preferably also a forklift or crane licence
• Physically fit, and working safely is second nature to you
• Able to read structural drawings
