Field Service Engineer

About the position.

As a field service engineer, you resolve faults, carry out preventive maintenance and oversee modifications to machines at customers' sites in the field. You combine technical depth with a strong service focus. No two days are the same: you switch between locations, systems and customers.

What will you be doing?

• Diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical and pneumatic faults on site at customers' premises
• Carrying out preventive maintenance and inspections in line with the maintenance schedule
• Installing upgrades, modifications and replacement parts
• Liaising with the customer on planning, progress and technical findings
• Drawing up service reports and recording the work carried out
• Escalating complex faults to the internal technical support team or R&D

What we ask of you.

• MBO level 4 or HBO in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
• At least 3 years of experience in a field service or service role at a machine builder or OEM
• Sound knowledge of PLC control, hydraulics and/or pneumatics
• Driving licence (category B); willingness to travel within Europe
• Resilient under pressure and customer-focused: you work under pressure and communicate clearly
