About the position.
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you optimise production processes and make sure new products go into production in a controlled, efficient way. You are on the shop floor every day, connecting the world of design with the reality of the production line. You identify improvement potential, back it up with data and implement it together with the operators.
What will you be doing?
- Developing and validating production processes for new and existing products
- Drawing up work instructions, routings and process overviews
- Carrying out manufacturability analyses (DFM/DFA) in collaboration with R&D
- Analysing rejects, downtime and quality deviations and implementing improvements
- Qualifying machines, tooling and production equipment
- Supporting operators with process changes and new introductions
What we ask of you.
- HBO in Mechanical Engineering, Production Technology or a similar programme
- At least 2 years' experience in a production environment as a process or manufacturing engineer
- Knowledge of machining, welding or assembly processes depending on the sector
- Demonstrable experience with lean or improvement methods (5S, SMED, Kaizen)
- Practical, data-driven and comfortable on the shop floor
