About the position.
As a Mechanical Engineer, you design and develop mechanical systems, structures or products for technical clients in the manufacturing industry or building services. You work from concept to production-ready drawing and think along about manufacturability, cost and service life. On the shop floor you are both a designer and a technical go-to person for colleagues and production.
What will you be doing?
- Designing mechanical components and assemblies in CAD (SolidWorks, CATIA or Creo)
- Carrying out strength calculations and tolerance analyses
- Drawing up technical specifications, bills of materials and production drawings
- Supervising prototype construction and first article inspections
- Liaising with purchasing, production and quality on design modifications
- Maintaining technical documentation and version control
What we ask of you.
- HBO or WO in Mechanical Engineering or a similar technical programme
- At least 2 years' experience with 3D CAD, preferably SolidWorks or CATIA
- Knowledge of materials science, machining or sheet metal working processes
- Experience with FEM calculations is an advantage
- Strong analytical skills, pragmatic and able to work independently
