Mechatronics Technician

About the position.

As a mechatronics technician, you combine mechanical assembly with electrical connections and the tuning of control and sensor components. You work on machines and systems where mechanics, electronics and software come together. You enjoy seeing the connections between the disciplines.

What will you be doing?

• Assembling mechanical components and integrating them with electrical and electronic subsystems
• Connecting and wiring sensors, actuators and control components according to diagrams
• Setting up and testing servo drives, frequency inverters and safety circuits
• Carrying out functional final tests and supervising customer acceptance
• Tracing and fixing faults in both the mechanical and electrical parts of the system
• Keeping test protocols and technical files up to date for each machine

What we ask of you.

• MBO level 3 or 4 in Mechatronics or a combination of Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering
• At least 2 years' experience as a mechatronics technician or in a comparable dual-discipline role
• Familiarity with PLC controls and electrical diagrams (reading and applying them)
• Able to independently locate faults in both mechanical and electrical systems
• Driving licence (category B); willingness to travel for commissioning at customer sites
