About the position.

As a panel builder, you build industrial control cabinets and control panels that form the heart of automation and machine systems. You work from electrical diagrams and make sure every cabinet is finished neatly, safely and to standard. Your pride lies in the detail: a clean, error-free panel.

What will you be doing?

• Building control cabinets based on electrical diagrams and parts lists
• Mounting and wiring components such as PLCs, safety relays, contactors and circuit breakers
• Routing cable trays and cutting, crimping and labelling cable bundles to size in line with DIN standards
• Checking the wiring for completeness and correctness before handover to the test phase
• Carrying out basic tests (continuity measurement, insulation test) and handling corrections
• Keeping revisions in the diagrams up to date when changes are made during the build

What we ask of you.

• MBO level 2 or 3 in Electrical Engineering or Industrial Automation
• At least 1 year's experience as a panel builder or in a comparable paid role in control panel building
• Skilled in reading electrical diagrams (knowledge of EPLAN is an advantage)
• Accurate, organised and able to handle high volumes independently
• Familiarity with NEN 3140 and IEC standards for control cabinets
