About the position.
As a press operator, you operate hydraulic or mechanical presses for forming, stamping or compressing metal, plastic or composite. You set the press to the correct force, stroke and position and check every pressed part for dimensions and surface finish. Working safely with high forces and heavy dies comes naturally to you.
What will you be doing?
- Setting up and operating hydraulic or mechanical presses based on work instructions
- Changing and positioning dies and tooling
- Checking pressed products for dimensions, flatness and surface quality
- Carrying out basic maintenance on press and die (lubricating, cleaning, visual inspection)
- Recording production performance and reject reasons per production order
- Identifying die or press deviations and reporting them to maintenance or work planning
What we ask of you.
- MBO level 2 in Metalworking, Machining or Production Operation
- Proven experience on press or stamping machines in a metal or plastics environment
- Familiarity with working with heavy dies and using lifting equipment (VCA an advantage)
- Safety-conscious, precise and able to inspect large volumes quickly
