About the position.

As a Precision Machinist, you produce parts where tolerances of a few micrometres make the difference between approved and rejected. You work with high-end CNC machines and measuring equipment and know that the quality of your work is directly visible in the end product. Reliability and concentration are not side issues but core requirements.

What will you be doing?

• Setting up and operating precision CNC lathes and milling machines for high-accuracy parts
• Carrying out first-article inspection with a coordinate measuring machine (CMM) or hand measuring tools
• Monitoring dimensions and surface quality during the machining process
• Changing over machines, including tool changes and zero-point setting
• Recording measurement results and production quality in the quality system
• Consulting the quality department and work planning in borderline cases or deviations

What we ask of you.

• MBO 3 or MBO 4 qualification in machining or precision engineering
• Proven experience with CNC machining to tight tolerances (IT6 and tighter)
• Skilled with precision measuring tools: micrometer, plug gauges, roughness testers, possibly CMM
• Knowledge of surface treatments and material behaviour during machining
• Meticulous and patient by nature: you accept no doubt about dimensional accuracy
