About the position.

As a Gear Cutter, you produce gears, racks and other toothed components on specialised machines such as hobbing machines, gear milling machines or gear shaping machines. You combine knowledge of gear geometry with precise machine control. It is specialist work in which every parameter counts for the correct tooth flank form and fit.

What will you be doing?

• Setting up and operating hobbing machines, gear milling machines or profiling machines
• Selecting cutting tools (hob, cutter, broach) to suit the module and tooth form
• Setting the indexing head, cutting parameters and profile dimensions according to the drawing
• Checking tooth form, pitch diameter and flank profile with gear measuring equipment
• Carrying out calibration measurements and adjusting the machine in the event of dimensional deviations
• Recording production data and inspecting the first-off part before series production

What we ask of you.

• MBO 3 or MBO 4 qualification in machining or mechanical engineering with a specialisation in gear technology
• Proven experience with gear cutting on hobbing or profile milling machines
• Knowledge of gear parameters: module, pressure angle, helix angle and involute form
• Skilled with specialised gear measuring equipment or CMM software for gear analysis
• Independent and analytical: you recognise and correct dimensional deviations in the tooth profile
