About the position.
As a Machinist, you machine metal parts on CNC or conventional machines, depending on the job and the company. You work on variable batches in a range of materials and are responsible for the correct set-up, dimensions and delivery of parts. Versatility is your greatest strength.
What will you be doing?
- Operating CNC lathes and/or milling machines based on existing programs
- Setting zero points, tool lengths and cutting parameters during changeovers
- Checking the first-off part and monitoring dimensions during production
- Making minor corrections to CNC programs (offsets, adjustments)
- Deburring, cleaning and visually inspecting finished products
- Recording production quantities and rejects in the work order system
What we ask of you.
- MBO 2 qualification in machining or proven work experience as a CNC operator
- Experience with common CNC controls (Fanuc, Siemens or Heidenhain)
- Basic knowledge of cutting parameters and tool selection per material
- Able to work with technical drawings and tolerance specifications
- Flexible deployment across several machines and willing to work varying shifts
