About the position.

As Foreman, you provide direct leadership on the shop floor: you allocate the work, monitor progress and make sure your crew works safely and efficiently. You are the first point of contact for your team members and the link between execution and project management. Quality, safety and the feasibility of the daily and weekly schedule are your responsibility.

What will you be doing?

• Leading and coaching a crew of employees in the workshop or on the building site
• Allocating work based on the daily schedule and available capacity
• Monitoring execution in accordance with drawings, work instructions and quality requirements
• Reporting progress, bottlenecks and deviations to the project leader or workshop manager
• Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and the use of personal protective equipment
• Checking tools, materials and deliveries for completeness and quality

What we ask of you.

• MBO 3 or 4 in a relevant technical field (metalworking, electrical, construction or building services)
• At least 5 years' trade experience, including demonstrable supervisory duties within a team
• Able to interpret working drawings and specifications independently
• Strong communicator, decisive and authoritative on the shop floor
• VCA certification (basic or VOL) required
