About the position.

As head of technical services, you lead all the maintenance technicians and specialists within the company. You bear ultimate responsibility for the availability of machines, installations and building services. You combine hands-on technical insight with organisational leadership.

What will you be doing?

• Leading the technical services team: planning, task allocation, guidance and appraisal
• Managing the preventive maintenance schedule and ensuring it is carried out on time
• Coordinating breakdowns and technical emergency interventions on the production floor
• Maintaining contacts with external service partners, machine suppliers and inspection bodies
• Safeguarding technical safety and compliance with NEN and ATEX requirements where applicable
• Advising management on investments in machines, installations or expansion of the technical services department

What we ask of you.

• MBO level 4 or HBO, in mechanical engineering or electrical engineering
• At least 5 years' experience as an all-round mechanic or technical specialist, ideally followed by a supervisory role
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, PLC controls or mechatronics is a strong advantage
• Independent and decisive; used to switching between the shop floor and management meetings
