What is FlexHero?

FlexHero is a Dutch staffing agency specialising in technical and logistics professionals, with a focus on European craftsmen. We are SNF-certified, an NBBU member and NEN 4400-1 accredited. Based in Eindhoven, we work for manufacturing companies throughout the Netherlands.

Do you also work with self-employed professionals?

Yes. In addition to temporary staffing and secondment, we arrange self-employed assignments via our self-employed platform. We handle the contract, VAR/model agreement check and invoicing. See our self-employed page.

How quickly can you provide a craftsman?

For standard roles (production, forklift operator, simple assembly), we often provide the first candidates within 24–48 hours. For more specialised roles (TIG welder, CNC programmer), please allow 3–5 working days. We work with a pool of 250+ craftsmen.

How much does a craftsman cost?

The rate is your gross hourly wage (hirer’s remuneration under the client’s collective labour agreement) times a conversion factor. At FlexHero that factor is between 2.3 and 2.6, depending on the role, surcharges and length of deployment. That all-in rate covers wage costs, employer’s charges, insurance, absence and our support.

Example: with a gross hourly wage of €16 and a factor of 2.45 you arrive at roughly €39 per hour worked, all-in. Would you like an exact quote for your role? Request a no-obligation quote.

What is the difference between staffing and secondment?

With temporary staffing, the craftsman is employed by FlexHero and works under the supervision of the hiring company — ideal for short-term or flexible assignments. With secondment, the craftsman is also employed by FlexHero but for a longer period, often with a training programme. Both fall under the client company’s collective labour agreement.

What kind of contract do I get with FlexHero?

One type of contract: an indefinite-term employment contract, from day one. FlexHero does not work with temping phases. So you immediately have the security of a permanent job — continuous pay, pension accrual, continued payment between assignments and a contract your mortgage lender accepts. We set out the number of hours in accordance with the NBBU collective labour agreement. Read more in our contract guide.

Do you also provide housing?

Yes. We offer SNF-certified housing at over 40 locations in North Brabant, Limburg, Gelderland and neighbouring parts of Belgium. The locations range from detached houses to spacious apartments and meet the requirements for space, safety and hygiene. More details on our housing page.

How do I report sick?

Report sick as soon as you know you cannot work, at the latest before 09:00 on your shift day. Call, WhatsApp or email via +31 40 312 9900 / backoffice@flexhero.com. Keep your BSN, name, work location and a brief reason to hand. Also inform your client before your shift.

Continued payment of wages during illness and any waiting days depend on the collective labour agreement and the terms of employment that apply to your situation. The arrangement that applies to you can be found in your employment contract. Questions? Get in touch with our back office.

When will I receive my pay?

We pay weekly, every Wednesday, based on the hours your manager has approved before Tuesday at 12:00. If approval comes later, payment shifts by one week. You receive your payslip digitally in your portal.

In which regions do you operate?

We work throughout the Netherlands, with a strong presence in North Brabant, Limburg and Gelderland, and in neighbouring parts of Belgium.

Are you SNA-certified?

Yes. FlexHero is SNA NEN 4400-1 registered. This means we comply with Dutch tax and employment law obligations — client companies are thus protected from chain liability and hirer’s liability.

Do you use a G-account?

Yes. As standard, client companies pay the wage portion into our G-account for extra certainty regarding payroll tax and VAT payments. This further reduces liability risks.

Can I explore our services as a client company without booking straight away?

Yes, with no obligation whatsoever. We are happy to look at your question first — which roles, how many people, which region — and give an honest assessment. Without any commitments. Schedule an introduction.

Which certificates apply to craftsmen?

Depending on the role, certificates may be required: VCA Basic or VCA VOL, a forklift or reach truck certificate, welding certificates (NEN-EN ISO 9606), Code 95 for professional drivers, and sector-specific certificates such as first-aid (BHV) or working at height. We verify the validity of all relevant certificates and record them in our administration.

What if you are not satisfied with the craftsman?

Get in touch with us straight away. We will discuss the situation and look for a suitable solution together. If necessary, we will arrange a replacement craftsman so that the work is delayed as little as possible.

What about a BSN for foreign craftsmen?

For EU craftsmen, we arrange an appointment with the RNI (Register of Non-Residents) or the local council. There you will be issued with a BSN. Without a BSN, you cannot be paid — which is why this is one of the first steps after arrival.

Does your team speak multiple languages?

Yes. Our recruiters speak Dutch, English, Spanish, Portuguese and Italian. Our website and contracts are available in NL/EN/ES/PT/IT. We also support candidates and employees in their own language as much as possible.

What is ORT?

ORT stands for Irregular Hours Allowance — a supplement on top of your gross salary for working at irregular times (evenings, nights, weekends). The percentages are set by the collective labour agreement (CAO), usually 25–100% depending on the time and day.

How is my data processed? (GDPR)

We process personal data in accordance with the GDPR. Registration details are retained for 2 years (or longer with explicit consent). You can view, amend or delete your data at any time via privacy@flexhero.com. Read our privacy statement.

Our main number is available from 09:00 to 17:00. Outside office hours you can email backoffice@flexhero.com; we respond on the next working day. For a sick report, the separate route above applies.
